Leadership

For more than 100 years, the American Heart Association has made bold moves to save lives and pioneer scientific discoveries. We haven’t done it alone. We reach our goals working with organizations and individuals who share our vision for better health and today, the Go Red for Women community is stronger than ever. The American Heart Association, through Go Red for Women, is prepared to meet the evolving needs of women now, and at every age, every stage, and every season of their lives as their trusted, relevant source for credible, equitable health solutions, and that is why our volunteer leadership is so important. Go Red for Women is a catalyst for this critical work.

Ashley Addison Foster, MBA, Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer of Beebe Healthcare, will serve as the 2024-2025 volunteer chair of Go Red for Women in Delaware. “I was inspired to chair Go Red for Women this year because heart disease continues to impact so many women in our community, including those we love,” said Foster. “As women, we often put others first. Through Go Red for Women, the American Heart Association encourages us to prioritize our own heart health. I’m honored to lead this effort to raise awareness, provide education, and inspire action to help women of all ages take control of their heart health and support each other in this vital mission.” This year’s Delaware Go Red for Women campaign will focus on raising awareness about women’s unique cardiovascular risk factors, promoting equitable access to care, and supporting life-saving research. Through community engagement, partnerships, and educational initiatives, the campaign will aim to empower women across the state to make heart-healthy decisions and encourage systemic change to support better outcomes for all.
